Legion News

We are open Monday and Tuesday nights for darts. Wed and Thursday we are open noon till 6 pm. Friday 11 am to close, and on Saturday noon to 6pm(approx).
Every Friday night we have a fun darts, and the cost is $2. We have the Junior Darts Program starting Saturday mornings on October 15th at 9 am till 11:30 am. The cost is $2, and the children get a pop and hotdog. No equipment is necessary or experience. Let the kids have some fun. Our Sports Officer, Tim is having a Dart Tournament on Saturday, October 29th. Cost is $5, registration starts at noon and start playing at 1 pm.
The Poppy Officer, Mike mailed out letters to the businesses about wreath laying for Remembrance Day. Make sure you contact him. Also, the Youth Education Officer, Lisa went to all the Elementary and Secondary Schools with the Annual Literary and Poster contest. We hope to see a big turn out and hope to see students from the area go high up to the Dominion contest. There will be a sign up sheet at the Branch for the Annual Poppy Campaign on November Friday 4th an Saturday 5th.
The Ladies Auxiliary will be having their monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 26th, at 6:30 pm. The Ladies still do Memorial Lunches, Baby Showers and Wedding Showers. The Legion does rent out the hall for special occasions, just call the Branch for more details. 519-326-0073.
On Saturdays we have a weekly Meat Draw. Tickets starting selling at 2:30 pm. The draws are at 3:30 pm, 4 pm, 4:30 pm and 5pm. Come on down and win some meat. On Saturday, November 12th from 2:30 till 3 pm we will be having Karaoke.
The next Seniors dinner is on Wednesday October 12th, from 3 pm till 6 pm. Gord Ciliska will be playing. We will be serving Ham and Scalloped Potatoes. The November Dinner will be a Chicken dinner. The cost is $6. Must be 55 years old or older. In November 9th we will be selling tickets for our X-mas dinner. We will be having 2 sittings. 1st one will from 1 pm to 4pm and the 2nd dinner will from 4 pm to 8 pm and the cost will be $7. That will be on December 14th.
The next General Meeting will be November 2nd at 7 pm. The next Executive Meeting will be October 19th at 7 pm.
