Jingle Bell Run Nov. 13

Hundreds of people across Essex County are expected to hit the pavement with 'bells on' for the Ken Knapp Ford 17th Annual Jingle Bell Run, Walk and Wheel on Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. in Essex.

"We look forward to another great day and encourage families and friends to join us," said Bob Blair, chair of the Jingle Bell Run Steering Committee. "The event is for everyone from competitive runners to casual walkers, together for a great cause."

The event, a fundraiser for Community Living Essex County, has raised thousands of dollars through the years to benefit and support over 600 people with developmental disabilities in Essex County.
It is a 5km run/walk and a 10km run that begins and ends at Ken Knapp Ford in Essex.
"There are lots of very worthwhile causes in our community to support," said Tony DeSantis, manager community relations for CLEC, "fundraising events like the Jingle Bell Run are very important to us in that it assists in offsetting some costs to those we support."
DeSantis said the run/walk also helps to engage the community in the efforts of CLEC and familiarize them with the work of the organization.
