Freddy’s voted top perch platter in Ontario


Freddy's Cocktail Lounge & Restaurant on Point Pelee Drive has been voted home of the best perch platter in Ontario by readers of MyNewWaterfrontHome.com in the lifestyle website's newest Top 10 Best of Ontario survey.
Freddy's, led the voting as Leamington establishments cleaned up in the perch sweepstakes, taking three of the top four spots.
The winning restaurant's outstanding perch has also caught the attention of the folks at the Shores of Erie International Wine Festival, who dropped by for dinner, took one bite of the perch and immediately invited chef Robert Makhlouf to showcase his talents during a cooking demonstration at the festival in Amherstburg.
Lake Erie establishments took eight of the 10 spots on the Best Perch Platter list. Paula's Fish Place and T.J.'s Sports Bar and Grill, both in Leamington, took third and fourth spots, behind second-place finisher Hippo's at Mohawk Marina in Lowbanks in the Niagara Peninsula.
