Police board approves OPP schedule of fees

The Leamington Police Services Board approved the schedule of fees for the Leamington OPP at a meeting on Thursday.

The fees, which are virtually a standard OPP rate, include special requests by local residents who need police checks, finger prints, traffic reports etc.

OPP Inspector Rick Derus said these are not set to make a profit — they are based on the actual cost of preparing the documents or performing the service.

He also told the board it has the authority to alter they rates but recommended they stick with the standard OPP rates.

The rates are:

Criminal record check (volunteer), no cost; criminal record check (for employment), $25; a duplicate of that criminal record check certificate ($5); fingerprints, $26.50; traffic reports, $42.25; incident reports, $42.25; statements, $42.25; technical traffic collision reports, $565; reconstructionist report, $1,130; paid duty (administrative fee), $68.50; and paid duty (hourly vehicle usage fee), $28.50.
